Title: Volunteer Coordinator
Childhood Dream: To be an astronaut. And a professional baseball player. And retire at the age of 35.
Joining the Dreams for Kids team in 2008, Jake is thrilled to be part of an organization committed to changing the lives of children across the world. Jake has developed a fierce passion for educating and empowering youth of all abilities and backgrounds through his work with children in Cape Town, South Africa as well as those in the Chicago area. Jake is grateful to have had his eyes opened to the differences and, more importantly, the innate similarities that exist across cultures, backgrounds, and abilities. This coming year, Jake will be completing his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University. Majoring in International Studies and Communication Studies, he is enjoying applying his schooling to work outside of the classroom.
As volunteer coordinator, Jake works primarily with volunteer recruitment and management, program planning, and event execution. Please feel free to contact him if you wish to get involved!
Originally from Minnesota, Jake takes pleasure in nearly any activity, indoor or out. Much of his time is spent playing or watching sports and making or listening to music.
